Bathtime

Bathtime unwinding.. I needed a creme bath for my skin..

Matte French manicure

Listening to; @4:33

I finally managed to do a French manicure on myself, in PINK. This may not be much of a feat to most people but I have huge man-hands and this is my left hand! and I am left handed! I am giving myself a pat on the back. :P

I went for a matte finish too, a little different and the end result was quite cute.

Brick lane vintage market

I visited some of the vintage stores on Brick Lane on Sunday. There were lots of colourful chunky sweaters and some great deals. If I weren't unemployed I would totally have bought something.. haha.

But... The food. OH yes, we all know how I love food and there was some great Moroccan curry, and tasty Chinese stir-fry at the food market. It was full of people too, all sampling the tasty treats..

Talk about vibrant, argh.. I want to eat it now, thank god I can't smell it or I think I would drown in a pool of my own saliva.

Some selca 1

Took some pics looking a little raggedy. See, I can integrate colour into my outfits!!
There's blue red and camo there! I really love the military jacket I got, its huge so you can really layer up underneath.

my favourite moustache ring, from COEX in Seoul.

Mwah!

Peace

Listening to; drum&bass + vocals + piano =

Korean BBQ

I finally got a fix of the Korean BBQ I was hankering for. I found a place near holborn, and I forget the name, but you can find it on the right if you walk from Holborn to Tottenham Court road.

It was authentic, with an ajumma and everything. Great meat and KIMCHI! While I was over there I didn't ever think twice about leaving all the kimchi I was given behind, because you get it with everything.. eeeeeeverything and sometimes you just don't want to eat kimchi.. but at about £5 a serving I ate all my kimchi this time. They weren't joking about getting charged for allllll the side dishes here.

My food coma face. yeah.

I am really trying to get out of wearing black all the time but I do have relapses!

Chilling with habeebee

During my days at home, I often chill with my royals. They are really curious about everything, constantly poking at everything and looking for little hidey-holes.

I have a breeding pair, and this is the male 'Habeebee' (which if you have ever heard Arabic music you have probably heard a lot. it means 'darling' in Arabic). He is about 10 years old now, little guy has just reached the other side of the hill, like his owner, so we have even more of a connection now.

Look at that cute little face!!

They make the cutest couple, always curled up together, and you can see that they sometimes have arguments, and he gets relegated to the other side of the tank (she is bigger than him), but they always get back together. It will be mating season very soon so they will probably be steaming up the tank window in the evenings. They just don't care.. they just don't care.. they just don't caaaaare... with their PDA.

I am listening to;

love the 'death-by-beach-ball' artwork.

Some valentines pics I found

So I was going through my phone and I found some pics I took from my last Valentines. Yeah yeah, he was a disappointing person in the end but I couldn't have known then!

Look at how happy I was...

well, now I am more like;

But you can't fault me for, against all my better judgement, having had hope... RIGHT?!

I was going to wear this outfit that I borrowed without permission from my sister.. but as it was kinda cold I went for the long dress.

I forgot to mention that I was introduced to The Hummingbird bakery in Soho, where they had Nutella cupcakes. See, I thought it was a good beginning. A man who sullies a Nutella memory deserves no forgiveness. In life people rarely get what they deserve (I am still waiting for my pony and house in the sun with a pool) so I am choosing to erase him from this memory focus on the chocolatey goodness.

I wanted to share that I am listening to;

It is great. Super chill... go straight to 1:42 for some real calm bassness... that's not a word and I don't care.

Tasty ugly blueberry pancakes

After the blueberry, apple, and blackberry crumble and the blueberry cake I STILL had blueberries left over so I went for some classic blueberry pancakes to finish off that box!

Pancakes were never my forte, mine always come out all misshapen and in weird thicknesses.. but they taste great!

I had them with cream and honey!

Cutee style

I got invited on a movie date with my sister and her boyfriend, can anyone say 'third wheel'? Yes. Well I appreciated her taking pity on her hermit sister and inviting me along. I treated it like a real date and went for a 'cute' look with polka dots.

#

My sister has since borrowed this sweater on a non-return basis, I will have to dig in her room if I want to wear it again. But it looks cute on her so I can't hate. :)

I am really attached to my bum hat with the giant pom pom..I doubt I can get away with wearing a woolly hat throughout the summer so I am trying to get it on as much as possible. I know British summers are famous for their extreme temperatures (!)... Yeah.. well I can dream can't I?!

Cake

As part of my baking and eating adventures I made a blueberry and blackberry moist cake (I had a LOT of blueberries, thank you bulk buying at Costco).

I used the recipe from HERE and added extra blackberries. Before I added the berries to the mixture I took the time to moisten them and then rolled them in flour till they were completely covered. This was to stop them from sinking. Trust me if you cover them with flour properly they won't sink. I managed to make this while almost constantly holding a huge J glass of red wine so you can do it too.

Here is the finished result!

I served it with cream.

The recipe was apparently for 12 people, but I wouldn't trust that, myself and two other people (I like to share the love) with munchies big appetites finished it in one evening, so I suggest just making it as is, because I think the 12 people they were talking about were heavy smoking anorexic models.

Try it out, it was worth the love.

Psycho-Pass

The last episode of Psycho-pass was on a few weeks ago and I have yet to find an animation to fill the gap it has left.. This was a well thought out animation with a great story that questions whether necessary sacrifices are worth it for a 'perfect' society. What makes people bad? Is pre-emptive crime fighting plausible?

I love the design of all the gadgets, and how they dress up as these giant 'cute' police officer characters to pick up an unhinged suspect so that you don't distress on-lookers. It is interesting how the things you see and hear could affect your 'psycho-pass'.. What colour would yours be??

The characters were all well thought out too, we have the father figure, the straight arrow, the renegade cop and the main woman who struggles with morals, and they all work together to create drama, suspense and a brilliant chase.

It is a shame I only figured out how to watch it in HD on my TV for the last few episodes...!

Sunlight

Waking up to sunlight filtering through my window in the afternoon.. slept a little late but loving the feeling of being wrapped in a duvet and dozing..

Niko

On the London Underground..

So many people with red bleary eyes here even though it's Wednesday..

I don't understand why the man opposite me seems to have been inspired by the outfit Niko wears at the beginning of GTA4.. I wonder if just before he left his home he looked in the mirror and thought..

*carefully places beanie on head*

"Yes.. this outfit is hot! Now I look like a walking criminal stereotype."
